Benefits of ILFOP Associate Membership

An Associate Membership in the Illinois State Lodge gives you the opportunity to support law enforcement officers and their famiies and to keep informed about issues important to our state's police officers.

The program is a civilian affiliate of the Fraternal Order of Police, Illinois State Lodge. Its members are individuals and families of law enforcement officers, responsible and respected business persons, professional men and women, and citizens from all walks of life—people willing to devote a portion of their time and efforts toward assisting the Illinois State Lodge.

The Associate Program is non-partisan without regard to race, creed, color or religious beliefs. The participants’ interests revolve around law enforcement and the men and women that have dedicated their lives to the protection of citizens. Associate members support programs, charitable causes, and legislation of the Illinois State Lodge as well as all law enforcement efforts.

Associate Members receive a window decal, Associate Membership Card, the twice-annual The Blue Line Newsletter via email, and are eligible for select FOP member discounts, such as car rental discounts.

Application Process

Interested individuals and businesses should complete a Membership Application and submit a law enforcement reference, preferably an FOP member. References can be other law enforcement officers and FOP staff. The annual Membership fee is $30, payable to Fraternal Order of Police, Illinois State Lodge, and sent to the address below.

The FOP President and/or Secretary will review and approve applications. Approved members will receive a welcome letter, a Membership decal, Membership Card and the twice-annual e-mail newsletter. There is no appeal process for membership denial.

you may print out a PDF version of our Associate Membership Application, fill it out and send it with a $30 check payable to Fraternal Order of Police, Illinois State Lodge.
