My name is Darrin Bourret and I was recently elected to the position of State Trustee for District 1. I am currently assigned to the bicycle patrol unit in the central business district in downtown Chicago. I have also, for the past four years, represented my district as a unit rep. I reside on the southwest side of Chicago with my wife Kathleen and my two daughters, Lauren and Alyson. I am proud to be a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and I look forward to representing its members.
I began my law enforcement career with the Florida Dept. of Corrections at Tomoka Correctional Institution as a Correctional Officer in 1988 and was promoted to Sergeant in 1993. While working full time, I received my Associate's Degree in General Education from Daytona Beach Community College (now Daytona State Univ.) and subsequently graduated from the Univ. of Central Florida (Go Knights) with a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice in 1998. I completed 21 credit hours of post-graduate course work in Public Administration at UCF prior to joining the IL Dept. of Corrections in 2000 as a Parole Agent. I have been assigned to the Dist. 1 Juvenile Office since 2002 supervising caseloads in Will County and the West Side of Chicago.
I joined the IL FOP in 2001 and have held positions in Lodge 263 as a Legislative Liaison, District Trustee, Lodge Trustee, Chairman of Trustees and since 2005 Lodge Treasurer. I have served as a Delegate to the State Conference in 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008 and 2010 and the National Conference in 2005, 2007 and 2009.
My wife, Bonnie, and I have been married since 1989 and are the proud parents of two daughters, ages 10 and 12.
Farrell is serving his second term as the District #4 Trustee. He is a sergeant with the Cook County Sheriff's Department where he has served for 15 years. He resides in Oak Lawn with his wife, Rhonda, and their three children.
Lepczynski has been a member of the Oak Park Police Department and Oak Park F.O.P. Lodge #8 since 1988. He served two terms as President of Lodge #8 after serving as Secretary.
He is a Detective Sergeant assigned to Investigations. Mike has a B.A. in Industrial Psychology and a B.A. in Criminal Justice from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Casey Klingberg retired in May of 2007 form the Elk Grove Village Police Department after serving as a police
officer for over thirty-one years. He has also been an active Elk Grove FOP Lodge #35 member for over thirty-one years
and has held every office in his lodge including eight years as their Lodge President. Casey, who holds a Graduate Degree,
spent much of his life in law enforcement and has also taught criminal justice courses a the local community college.
In addition, Casy has written several published articles on topics in the law enforcement field on training and other
law enforcement issues.

Michael is a 30-year veteran of the Waukegan Police Department. He has worked in the Patrol and Detective Division. He has been a member of Waukegan Lodge #5 since 1982 and is currently holds the position of Vice President and had served as Secretary from 1998 to 2008. He has also served on the Executive Board of Lodge #5, Labor Committee from 2000 to 2008 as Secretary, 1st Vice President, President and Immediate Past President.
Michael spent 2 years as District 10 Alternate before being elected to trustee. He looks forward to putting his experience to work by serving on the State Board.
Michael has an Associate of Applied Science in Criminal Justice from the College of Lake County and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Western Illinois University.

As a sergeant he has been assigned as John is a 26-year veteran of the Joliet Police Department, he was promoted to sergeant in 1998, as a patrol the departments training coordinator. John also was assigned to the MANS drug unit for 4 years. officer John was a FTO and was assigned as a Patrol Supervisor and 3 years in the Neighborhood oriented Policing team. The last 3 years John has been in charge of the special services unit.
John has been a board member of Joliet Lodge 58 for the last 23 years and currently is 3rd vice president. John is currently president of Joliet Police Supervisors Association the FOP bargaining unit of the Joliet Police Supervisors, which includes the ranks of sergeant thru captain. John also for the last 8 years has served as secretary of the Joliet Police Pension Fund.
John spend 14 years as a board member of AFSCME local 807 Joliet Police union and than sat on the executive board when the Joliet Police patrol officers changed to FOP representation. John spent 8 years as District 11 Alternate before taking over as trustee last election.

Jamie began his Law Enforcement career at the Rock Island County Sheriff’s Department as a Correctional Officer in 2003. He was promoted to Deputy Sheriff in 2004 and has been an active member of the FOP since that time. He served as local lodge Secretary for one term before being elected Local Labor Chairman for Lodge #61 and has twice served on the lodges contract negotiating team.
Deputy Brown currently works patrol for the Rock Island County Sheriff's Department. In addition, he is a member of their Emergency Services Team, Honor Guard, and is a Field Training Officer and Range Officer.
Brown holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Law Enforcement and Justice Administration from Western Illinois University and is an Operation Iraqi Freedom Veteran.
Frank Slayback is a 15-year veteran of the McLean County
Sheriff's Department and a five-year veteran of Lake Bloomington Police. Currently serving his second tour
as President of Lodge #176. He has held the offices of Treasurer, Vice President, and Sergeant-At-Arms. He is a past
member of the Contract Negotiating Team. He is a past member of the State Lodge Conference Committee and County Studies
Committee. He is currently serving his third term on the Police Memorial Committee.
He has been President of the Heyworth Summer League Youth Baseball Program for the last seven years. He was instrumental in the construction of the new baseball/softball field complex in Heyworth. He is a member of the Blue Knights Motorcycle Club, where he served as President and Vice President. He lives in Heyworth, with his wife, Jackie and three children. Slayback enjoys hunting, fishing, golfing, baseball and spending time in the Ozarks.

Mark Krampf has been an active FOP member for 27 years. Mark’s Law
Enforcement career started in 1982 when he joined the Village of Washington Park Police Department. In 1986 Mark left
the Village of Washington Police Department and went to work for the City Of Belleville Police Department. During his
career Mark has worked a variety of duties, Patrol Division, Traffic Division, Detective Division, Narcotics Division
and worked has a Field Training Officer. Mark is also a past member of The Greater St. Louis Area Major Case Squad.
Mark's Law Enforcement career was ended when he sustained a duty related injury during the arrest of a suspect.
Mark retired from the Belleville Police Department in July of 2004.
Mark continues to serve as the FOP District 14 Trustee. He has been the District 14 Trustee for over 20 years. Mark was recently elected by his fellow Trustees as Chairman of the Trustees.
Steve has been an officer with the University of Illinois Police Department in Urbana since 1987. He as served in the Investigation Division and METRO SWAT, and currently is assigned as a bomb tech in the EOC Unit and Patrol Division. Steve is also serving his third term as President of Illini Lodge 17.

Terry is currently a Secretary of State Police Investigator. Terry has served at SOS for 25 years, prior to SOS he was with Mattoon P. D. Terry has degrees in both law enforcement and telecommunications management. Terry has served in an FOP office with Lodge 95 for about 23 years, currently as a two term President. With four terms as Labor Chairman and previous lodge offices as Secretary and Vice President he brings a wealth of local FOP experience to the State Lodge.
Terry is a published author in the field of Underwater Crime Scene processing. He has spoke at conferences across the United States and is current Chairman of the Illinois Water Rescue Association. Terry is also an elected Fire District Trustee at home. He resides in Effingham with a wife and two children.
With SOS Police Terry is a Training Officer one of only four in Illinois and he is certified to instructor over 40 different programs from a broad spectrum of classes. His desire to assist in the FOP has been longstanding and he looks for to working with the rest of the State Board members as well as serving his District Lodges effectively.
