The State Lodge operates a toll-free, 24-hour hotline for law enforcement officers. The Critical Incident Support Team
provides law enforcement officers seeking assistance with peer support or social services, a confidential program to receive the help they need.
CIST will find a professional organization or program that the officer can contact. ALL calls are confidential and no information
about the officer is recorded. Whether the office seeks assistance with an alcohol or gambling problem or is having marital problems,

The National FOP has selected Bellevue University as an education partner. Bellevue University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
Illinois FOP members can receive a free evaluation of training, previous college credit, professional licenses, military and more. Bellevue University will also award you 24 credit hours for completion of the Police Academy (almost a year of college). Bellevue University's programs are online and designed to allow you to do the program as it fits into your schedule. There are weekly assignments, which allows us to accelerate the programs. You can complete the Bachelor's Degree requirements in a minimum of 15 months and the Master's Degree programs in 16-18 months. 21 Bachelor's Degree majors to choose from - to include Criminal Justice Administration, Investigations, Security Management, Corrections Administration and Management, Leadership and Management. Nine Master's Degree programs - Master of Public Administration, Leadership, Security Management, Management, and the MBA.
