ILFOP Internet Privacy Policy

The Illinois State Lodge of the Fraternal Order of Police (ILFOP) takes your privacy seriously. Please read the following to learn more about our privacy policy.

What this Privacy Policy Covers

This policy covers how the ILFOP treats personal information that ILFOP collects and receives when you use the ILFOP website to make application for either active membership or an associate membership. Personal Information is information about you that is personally identifiable like your name, address, email address, or phone number, and that is not otherwise publicly available.

Information Collection and Use

ILFOP collects personal information when you make application for membership as an active member or an associate member, (the application process), through the ILFOP website.

As part of the application process we ask you for information such as your name, rank, Department Name, Department Address, home address and phone number and email addresses. We DO NOT gather information regarding any personal financial information or social security numbers. We DO collect information about your particular membership application. We also gather your IP address.

ILFOP uses the information gathered for the following general purposes: to provide you with the service that you have requested, to improve our services to our members, and to possibly contact you in the future with information regarding your membership.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

ILFOP does not rent, sell, or share personal information about you collected in connection with your use of the ILFOP web site with any other person(s), entity, or nonaffiliated organizations, except to the extent necessary to provide you with the services that you have requested.

Confidentiality and Security

ILFOP limits access to personal information about you to ILFOP employees and independent contractors providing IT services to ILFOP. We have in place confidentially agreements with all independent contractors with access to IFOP personal information data.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

ILFOP may update this policy. We will notify you about significant changes in the way we treat personal information by placing any changes on our web page.
