Trampoline Dodgeball Tournament May 21 in Niles to build camaraderie between local law enforcement agencies > ILFOP
NILES – Law enforcement work has its ups and downs, and that is exactly what's going to happen on May 21 when several agencies will get together for an evening of camaraderie and friendly competition.

A Trampoline Dodgeball Tournament hosted by Niles Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) Lodge # 138 will be held Saturday, May 21 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Sky High Trampoline Park, 6424 W. Howard Street in Niles. Law enforcement agencies from Niles, Morton Grove, Lincolnwood, Skokie, Glenview and the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Skokie District 2 Office will compete for the “Braggers Cup” which will be displayed for one year at the winning department.

“This event is being held to bring together members of several local law enforcement communities for a ‘night out’ of fun so that the members can let some steam off and have a good time,” said FOP Lodge # 138 Secretary-Treasurer and Niles Police Detective Tony Scipione. “The event also builds teamwork, socialization and morale among the individual law enforcement communities. The idea came from several local police officers who wanted an annual outing in this immediate area to get together outside of work, without our uniforms, and to be able let some steam off all while having a fun and enjoyable time.”

FOP Lodge # 138 and its 42 members support such causes as the Niles Baseball League, Niles Chamber of Commerce, Maine Township persons with disabilities, Illinois Special Olympics, and Illinois Officer Down/Officer Needs Assistance requests.
