Jacksonville's Westown Ford presented FOP Blue and Gold Award for support of law enforcement > ILFOP
JACKSONVILLE – Westown Ford in Jacksonville has been presented the Illinois Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) Blue and Gold Award for the dealership's long-time support of local law enforcement.

“Westown Ford has shown true community spirit and pride through their support of local police officers,” said FOP State Lodge President Chris Southwood. “They proudly stand with local FOP members to make Jacksonville a better place to live, work and visit.”

Westown Ford and General Manager Nick Xamis have actively supported the members and the mission of Jacksonville FOP Lodge 125 for more than ten years. Westown also was instrumental in the purchase of the state FOP Disaster Response Unit Emergency Response Trailer.  The Disaster Response Unit supports Illinois FOP members, police officers and their families during times of disaster. It helps to provide temporary home repair, property recovery, and coordination of needed services to law enforcement officers and their families. The unit can also provide food when needed.

“These are critical times for law enforcement, and it's important to show support for police officers as they work 24 hours a day, seven days a week to keep our community safe,” said Westown Ford General Manager Nick Xamis.
