In addition to the chaplaincy and CIST programs, the ILFOP Outreach program assists with taking donations for officers in need. The Outreach program is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization.

The Legal Defense Plan, owned and operated by the National FOP, provides eligible members with coverage for administrative, civil, and criminal actions arising from law enforcement duties.
Each year, the Illinois FOP awards $9,000 in scholarships—$500 per student—randomly selected from each of the 18 districts.
The Associate Chaplaincy program provides confidential pastoral care, offering law enforcement officers one-on-one support through listening, counseling, and guidance in times of personal need or crisis.
The Illinois State Lodge provides accidental death and dismemberment insurance at no cost for all members in good standing, on or off duty.
Illinois FOP license plates are available exclusively to members in good standing. Proceeds support grants that strengthen law enforcement professionalism, build public partnerships, and honor the service of officers across our state.
The Disaster Response Unit assists Illinois FOP members, officers, and their families during disasters with property repair, communication, counseling, and emergency support.
The Critical Incident Support Team (CIST) is available 24/7 to provide confidential peer support, counseling, and referrals. In major incidents, including officer-involved shootings or line-of-duty deaths, CIST coordinates with the Illinois Network of Critical Incident Stress Management and can assist officers, families, and departments as needed.
