Wellness and Support

You’re Never Alone – We’ve Got Your Back, Always

The Illinois Fraternal Order of Police is proud to offer a peer-support network with 12 certified Peer Wellness Specialists across the state, ready 24/7 to support FOP members and their immediate families. These specialists are fellow law enforcement professionals who truly understand the unique pressures of our profession. They provide compassionate, non-judgmental support for any challenge, including:

  • Officer-involved critical incidents
  • Line-of-duty deaths
  • Near-miss or life-threatening events
  • Suicidal ideation or mental health crises
  • Cumulative stress, family struggles, or any situation where you just need someone who “gets it”

How It Works – Your Comfort Comes First

  • Choose in-person support or a confidential phone/video call – whatever feels right for you
  • 100% confidential – nothing is ever documented or shared with your department, command, or anyone else
  • Completely free for all Illinois FOP members and their families
  • Available 24/7/365
  • Peer Wellness is funded through ILFOP Outreach, our 501(c)(3) charitable foundation. Every tax-deductible donation allows us to train more specialists, respond faster, and reach even more families in need.
