Illinois Fraternal Order of Police Now Accepting Applications for 2026 Scholarship Program

The Illinois Fraternal Order of Police is now accepting applications for the 2026 ILFOP Scholarship Program.

Each year, the Illinois Fraternal Order of Police awards $9,000 in scholarships to college students whose parents are members of the Illinois Fraternal Order of Police in good standing. A total of 18 scholarships will be awarded, with one applicant selected at random from each of the 18 representative FOP districts in Illinois. Each scholarship recipient will receive $500 to assist with college expenses.

Applicants must submit a completed scholarship application along with proof of registration for the upcoming fall semester. Acceptable proof of registration includes one of the following:

• Notice from the registrar
• Class schedule
• Tuition payment receipt

Incomplete applications, or applications submitted without the required supporting materials, will not be included in the drawing.

The random drawing will be held during the September 10, 2026 meeting of the ILFOP Full Board of Trustees. Winners will be notified by email within one week of the drawing.

Applications are due no later than Monday, August 31, 2026.
